Role Description
The Private Equity Specialist will work in a remote, contract capacity to support investment-related initiatives aligned with the company’s mission of backing underrepresented creative talent. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying potential investment opportunities, performing financial and market analysis, conducting due diligence on projects and partners, and evaluating risk and return profiles. The specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders to structure deals, develop investment proposals, and prepare reports and presentations for decision-makers and potential investors. This role also involves monitoring portfolio performance, tracking key metrics, and providing insights to optimize capital allocation and support strategic growth.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial data and assess investment risks and returns.
Experience with investments and private equity, including deal evaluation, structuring, and portfolio monitoring.
Solid finance knowledge, including financial modeling, valuation techniques, and familiarity with capital markets.
Proven due diligence capabilities, including market research, competitive analysis, and review of financial and legal documentation.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and potential investors.
An interest in or familiarity with the film, media, or creative industries and a commitment to supporting diverse and underrepresented talent.
