Role Description The Information Technology Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, responsible for overseeing and maintaining the school’s IT infrastructure and services. Daily responsibilities include managing networks and servers, ensuring reliable internet and Wi‑Fi connectivity, and overseeing hardware and software installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting across classrooms, labs, and administrative offices. The role involves supporting digital learning platforms, school management systems, and security tools, while coordinating with academic and administrative teams to meet technology needs. The Information Technology Manager will also implement data backup and cybersecurity best practices, manage vendor relationships, supervise IT support staff, and contribute to planning and budgeting for future technology improvements.
Qualifications
Strong skills in IT infrastructure management, including networks, servers, and system administration.
Proficiency in hardware and software installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Experience with educational or enterprise applications, learning management systems, and school ERP solutions.
Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, data backup, access control, and IT compliance standards.
Ability to manage IT projects, coordinate with vendors, and optimize technology budgets.
Effective communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills with teaching and non-teaching staff.
Proven ability to lead or supervise IT support personnel, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a school environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, ITIL) are an advantage.
Prior experience in an educational institution or similar multi-user environment is highly desirable.
