Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Jamshedpur. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving health insurance sales, achieving revenue and growth targets, and managing a local sales team. Daily activities include developing and executing sales strategies, monitoring performance metrics, conducting regular market and competitor analysis, and ensuring alignment with company product and wellness propositions. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, channel partners, and intermediaries, as well as organizing and participating in promotional activities, events, and customer education initiatives. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with regional leadership and cross-functional teams to improve processes, enhance customer experience, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, including target achievement, pipeline management, and negotiation.
Team leadership and people management capabilities, with experience in coaching, performance monitoring, and motivating sales teams.
Customer relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust, handle queries, and manage escalations effectively.
Market analysis and strategic planning skills, including understanding of local market dynamics and competition.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using CRM tools, MS Office, and basic digital sales platforms.
Prior experience in health insurance, financial services, or related industries is highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Jamshedpur, travel within the region as needed, and adapt to a dynamic, target-driven environment.
