Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Scrum Master role based in Canada. The Scrum Master will facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that Agile practices are consistently followed by the team. The role involves coordinating with software developers and other stakeholders to refine user stories, remove impediments, and maintain a clear product backlog. The Scrum Master will track progress using relevant metrics, promote continuous improvement, and support transparent communication across cross-functional teams. In addition, the role includes mentoring team members on Agile frameworks, aligning delivery with business objectives, and collaborating closely with product and operations teams to meet client needs.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Sprint Planning and User Stories skills to effectively manage backlogs and organize work for development teams.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret team performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose practical improvements.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to facilitate meetings, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure shared understanding of goals.
Candidates should possess a good understanding of Software Development processes to work effectively with technical teams and support delivery.
Relevant experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, preferably in technology-driven or consulting environments.
Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar project management platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
Professional Scrum or Agile certification (e.g., CSM, PSM) is an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and maintain a client-focused, results-oriented mindset.
