Role Description The PLC Programmer at Autronics Technologies will design, develop, and implement PLC programs for industrial automation projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and testing control systems, troubleshooting PLC-related issues, and modifying existing logic to improve performance and safety.
The role involves collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers, preparing documentation such as I/O lists and logic descriptions, and supporting system commissioning at client sites. The PLC Programmer will also ensure that all programming and installations comply with relevant standards and client specifications. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (such as ladder logic, function block, and structured text) and experience with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Omron).
Experience in industrial automation, control systems design, and integration of PLCs with HMIs, SCADA, sensors, drives, and other field devices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and familiarity with industrial communication protocols (such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, TCP/ip, CClink ,
Proficiency in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting control systems, including on-site commissioning, system validation, and performance optimization.
Understanding of safety standards and best practices in industrial environments, including basic knowledge of functional safety and emergency stop circuits.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams and interact with clients professionally.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field; relevant certifications in PLC or automation are an advantage.
Prior experience in automation projects for manufacturing, process plants, or machine building is preferred; willingness to travel to client sites as project needs require.
