Role Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to develop innovative, stylish, and commercially appealing fashion concepts and collections. The role involves researching current fashion trends, developing design concepts, selecting fabrics and materials, creating sketches, and supporting the development of garments from concept to final product.
Key responsibilities include creating mood boards, color palettes, fashion illustrations, technical drawings, and design specifications. You will research market trends, consumer preferences, fabrics, colors, silhouettes, and emerging styles to develop designs that align with brand identity and target audiences.
The role also involves collaborating with product development, merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure designs are practical, visually consistent, and suitable for production. You will review samples, provide design feedback, make necessary adjustments, and ensure final products meet the intended design, quality, and aesthetic standards.
You will also assist with maintaining design documentation, organizing collections, preparing presentations, and coordinating multiple design projects while keeping up with evolving fashion trends and industry developments.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
Strong understanding of fashion design principles, garment construction, textiles, colors, patterns, and silhouettes.
Strong creative, visual, and conceptual design abilities.
Ability to create fashion sketches, technical drawings, mood boards, and design presentations.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other fashion design and creative software.
Knowledge of fabrics, materials, garment specifications, and production processes.
Strong awareness of current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market developments.
Excellent attention to detail and strong sense of color, proportion, balance, and aesthetics.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to organize multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
Creative, adaptable, proactive, and open to new ideas and design concepts.
