Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Sales Tax Technology Salesperson. The individual in this role will identify and qualify prospects, conduct discovery calls, and deliver tailored product demos that showcase how Taxcart’s solutions address complex sales tax and indirect tax needs. Responsibilities include managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through negotiation and close, preparing proposals, and collaborating with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and highlight new features. The Salesperson will maintain an organized pipeline, use CRM tools to track activities and progress, and provide timely, accurate forecasts. Day-to-day tasks also involve educating potential clients on global tax compliance, building long-term relationships with decision-makers, and representing Taxcart at virtual events or webinars as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in B2B software for sales tax technology is a requirement
.
Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, and managing full sales cycles, including discovery, demo, negotiation, and closing.
Ability to clearly explain complex tax and compliance concepts in simple, practical terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), online meeting platforms, and standard productivity tools for remote work.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with a consultative and customer-focused approach.
Comfort working remotely, managing time effectively, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across different time zones.
Understanding of global sales tax, VAT, GST, or indirect tax landscapes is highly beneficial; experience selling into ecommerce or ERP environments is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
