Role Description The Legal Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for providing legal support related to tax compliance and global indirect tax regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and preparing legal documents, advising on legal implications of product features and integrations, and supporting internal teams with guidance on tax-related legal issues. The role involves collaborating with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure Taxcart’s solutions align with applicable laws and regulations in multiple jurisdictions. The Legal Specialist will also monitor regulatory changes, assist in risk assessment, and help develop internal policies and best practices that promote compliant business operations.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Law, with knowledge of tax, commercial, or technology law.
Experience in Legal Consulting and providing practical, business-oriented legal advice.
Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including contracts, policies, and compliance documentation.
Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and concisely.
Ability to identify, analyze, and address Legal Issues related to global tax and regulatory compliance.
Relevant professional qualification or degree in Law (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and bar admission where applicable.
Experience working with SaaS, fintech, or tax technology products is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
