Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and technology-driven Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company's global Technology organization and drive technology strategy, engineering excellence, innovation, digital transformation, and scalable technology infrastructure.
The CTO will define and execute the company's technology vision, ensuring that technology platforms, systems, infrastructure, and engineering capabilities support business growth, operational efficiency, security, and long-term competitive advantage.
The CTO will oversee Technology Strategy, Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, IT Operations, DevOps, Technology Innovation, Systems Integration, and Technology Governance.
This executive will work closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to build a secure, scalable, reliable, and high-performing technology organization.
Key Responsibilities1. Technology Strategy & Vision
Develop and execute the company's global technology strategy and roadmap.
Align technology investments with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
Establish technology architecture, standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation.
Serve as a strategic technology advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
2. Engineering Leadership & Product Technology
Lead software engineering and technology development organizations.
Establish engineering processes, development standards, and technical best practices.
Partner with Product teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality products.
Improve software development efficiency, delivery speed, and engineering excellence.
Ensure technology solutions meet customer, business, and market requirements.
3. Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure
Define and maintain enterprise technology architecture.
Oversee cloud platforms, infrastructure, networks, systems, and technology services.
Build scalable and resilient technology infrastructure to support business growth.
Lead technology modernization and platform optimization initiatives.
Ensure effective systems integration and technology interoperability.
4. Cybersecurity & Technology Risk Management
Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies.
Establish security policies, controls, and technology governance frameworks.
Identify and mitigate technology, infrastructure, and data security risks.
Partner with Security, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams on regulatory requirements.
Ensure data protection, privacy, business continuity, and disaster recovery capabilities.
5. Data, Artificial Intelligence & Analytics
Develop the company's data and analytics technology strategy.
Establish scalable data platforms, architectures, and governance models.
Evaluate and implement artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.
Leverage data analytics to support business intelligence and decision-making.
Ensure responsible management, security, and accessibility of company data.
6. Technology Operations & Reliability
Oversee IT operations, DevOps, platform engineering, and technology service delivery.
Establish technology performance, availability, scalability, and reliability standards.
Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvements.
Develop incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
Improve operational efficiency through automation and technology optimization.
7. Innovation & Digital Transformation
Lead technology innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and their business applications.
Develop technology roadmaps for future capabilities and market opportunities.
Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, experimentation, and technology pilots.
Establish a culture of innovation and continuous technical improvement.
8. Technology Organization Leadership
Build and scale a high-performing global Technology organization.
Recruit, mentor, and develop Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Data, and IT leaders.
Establish technology career paths, competency frameworks, and leadership programs.
Develop performance management and succession planning processes.
Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology Management, or MBA preferred.
Experience
20+ years of progressive experience in Technology, Engineering, Software Development, or related fields.
10+ years of executive technology leadership experience.
Proven experience building and scaling global Engineering or Technology organizations.
Strong experience with enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, software engineering, and technology operations.
Demonstrated success leading digital transformation and technology modernization initiatives.
Experience managing technology budgets, resources, vendors, and strategic investments.
Strong ability to communicate with C-suite executives, boards, and senior stakeholders.
