Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing Mercury Sols’ financial strategy, operations, and compliance. This position manages budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow to support sustainable growth in a dynamic IT services environment. Day-to-day tasks include supervising financial reporting, reviewing financial statements, monitoring key performance indicators, and providing data-driven insights to guide executive decision-making. The CFO collaborates with senior leadership on long-term financial planning, investment decisions, and risk management, while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls. The role also involves leading the finance team, optimizing financial systems and processes, and supporting strategic initiatives such as pricing, new service lines, and international expansion.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, including corporate finance principles and financial management practices.
Proficiency in Financial Planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Hands-on experience with Financial Statements, including preparation, review, and interpretation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Expertise in Financial Reporting, including compliance with relevant standards and development of clear, timely reports for stakeholders.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make evidence-based recommendations.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
Experience in the IT services or technology sector is preferred, including familiarity with project-based revenue and global clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is highly beneficial.
Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with high levels of accountability and self-management.
