Role Description The Vice President of Strategic Finance is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing Mercury Sols’ financial strategy and long-term planning. This role leads the development and execution of financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation aligned with company growth initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial performance, analyzing trends, guiding financial reporting, and advising senior leadership on risk, investment, and profitability. The Vice President of Strategic Finance collaborates with cross-functional teams to support pricing strategies, evaluate new projects, and ensure financial controls and compliance. This position also mentors finance team members, drives process improvements, and implements tools and frameworks to enhance financial decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, with experience leading strategic finance functions in a growing technology or services organization.
Proficiency in Financial Planning and forecasting, including budgeting, scenario analysis, and long-term financial modeling.
Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and communicate results to executive stakeholders.
Advanced Analytical Skills, including data-driven decision-making and ability to evaluate complex business cases and investments.
Experience managing remote teams and collaborating across departments such as operations, sales, and product.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on clarity and transparency.
Proven track record in implementing financial controls, improving processes, and supporting strategic initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CFA, CPA) is advantageous.
