Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all financial activities of Mercury Sols and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization. The CFO will lead financial planning and budgeting processes, manage cash flow, and provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth across web, mobile, content, and IPTV service lines. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing financial statements, supervising financial reporting, developing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The CFO will collaborate with senior leadership to assess investment opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and support pricing strategies and contract negotiations. This role also involves building and mentoring a finance team, implementing best practices, and presenting clear financial insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, with experience in corporate finance and strategic financial management.
Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning and budgeting to guide long-term growth and operational efficiency.
Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Hands-on experience with Financial Reporting, including management reports, dashboards, and compliance-related disclosures.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, forecast trends, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Proven leadership experience in a senior finance role, preferably within IT, technology, or professional services organizations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial controls.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage distributed teams, and use digital collaboration tools.
Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) are a plus.
