Officer – Process Engineer

Fruit Formulations Pvt. Ltd. (formerly AGRANA Fruit India) is hiring an Officer – Process Engineer for our manufacturing plant at Jejuri, Pune.
Role purpose
Improve process capability, yield, throughput, loss control and utility use through controlled trials, data analysis and verified improvements, while protecting product quality, food safety and delivery.
Key responsibilities
• Monitor critical process parameters across fruit receiving, pulping/extraction, blending, pasteurisation, CIP, aseptic filling/packing and related utilities.
• Plan and execute approved trials with clear objectives, acceptance criteria, records and closure decisions.
• Analyse yield, loss, downtime, throughput, energy and water data; establish baselines and identify root causes.
• Lead approved continuous-improvement and cost-saving projects, with verified operational and financial benefits.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for process deviations, customer complaints and downtime.
• Prepare and update controlled SOPs, work instructions and change records; train affected teams before implementation.
• Support equipment user requirements, commissioning, qualification and handover for approved projects.
• Follow all safety, food-safety, quality and change-control requirements. No recipe, specification or critical process change may be made without approval.
Success measures
• At least 95% of approved trials and milestones completed on time with full records.
• Minimum two validated process improvements per quarter.
• Timely logging, RCA and closure of owned deviations and downtime events.
• Accurate tracking of yield, loss and utility performance.
• Zero unauthorised changes and zero avoidable food-safety incidents from owned work.
Qualifications and skills
• BE/BTech in Food, Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience in fruit, beverage, dairy, aseptic or a similar process industry is preferred.
• Working knowledge of pasteurisation, CIP, pumps, heat exchangers, aseptic systems and PLC/HMI fundamentals.
• Strong Excel/data analysis, RCA, structured problem-solving and technical reporting skills.
• Comfortable working on the shop floor and supporting planned shifts, start-ups, shutdowns and trials.
