Electrical Technician – Plant Maintenance

Fruit Formulations Pvt. Ltd. (formerly AGRANA Fruit India) is hiring an Electrical Technician – Plant Maintenance for our manufacturing plant at Jejuri MIDC, Pune.
Role purpose
Keep electrical systems safe and available by completing preventive maintenance, restoring faults quickly and maintaining accurate records, without bypassing protection, interlocks or food-safety controls.
Key responsibilities
• Complete approved preventive maintenance for motors, MCCs, panels, starters, VFDs, sensors, cables, earthing and emergency power systems.
• Attend breakdowns, isolate equipment safely, diagnose faults and restore only after prescribed checks.
• Record breakdown response time, cause, action and shift handover details.
• Inspect, tighten and test electrical connections, protection and earthing. Perform thermal, insulation or related tests only when trained and authorised.
• Support PLC, HMI, VFD and instrument faults within demonstrated competence; escalate programming, calibration and specialist work.
• Carry out installation, termination or panel modification only against approved drawings, permits and supervisor authorisation.
• Support electrical systems serving compressors, chillers, boilers, water, CIP and production equipment. Utility operation remains with the authorised operator.
• Maintain critical-spares, repeat-fault and corrective-action logs.
• Follow GMP, hygiene, LOTO, PTW and PPE requirements and prevent contamination during maintenance.
• Do not perform live work, bypass protection or interlocks, change parameters, restart equipment without authorisation or make unapproved modifications.
Success measures
• At least 95% of planned electrical preventive maintenance completed on time.
• All breakdowns over 15 minutes logged before shift close with response time, cause and corrective action.
• On-shift response within 10 minutes.
• Full LOTO, PTW and maintenance-checklist compliance for assigned work.
• Zero avoidable electrical-safety or food-safety incidents and zero unauthorised bypasses or modifications.
• At least 90% of due repeat-fault corrective actions closed on time.
Qualifications and skills
• ITI Electrician or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of industrial electrical-maintenance experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of motors, MCCs, starters, control circuits, VFDs, sensors and electrical drawings.
• PLC/HMI fundamentals are preferred.
• Food, FMCG or comparable process-industry experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site in shifts and participate in planned emergency call-out rotation.
• Must hold or obtain the electrical work authorisation or licence required for assigned duties and work under an authorised supervisor.
Important
Fresh entrants may be considered only for a trainee grade under direct supervision. They will not be assigned independent shift coverage.
