Role Description The Cyber Security Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for protecting client environments from emerging and existing cyber threats. On a day-to-day basis, this role involves monitoring and analyzing security events, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting incident response activities. The specialist will review and harden application, network, and infrastructure configurations, implement security controls, and participate in security architecture and design discussions. The role also includes developing and updating security policies and procedures, creating clear technical documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and standards. The Cyber Security Specialist will continuously research new threats and tools, recommend improvements to the security posture, and contribute to client-focused security solutions.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Application Security and Cybersecurity, with experience identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in software and systems.
5+ Proficiency in Network Security and Information Security, including secure network design, access control, and data protection practices.
Hands-on experience working across broader Cyber domains such as threat analysis, incident response, and security operations.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) and related compliance requirements.
Ability to use security tools such as SIEM platforms, endpoint protection solutions, vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple security tasks.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, Security+) are beneficial.
