Role Description This full-time remote Cloud Support Engineer role is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-based environments and services. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and resolving incidents, performance issues, and configuration problems across cloud infrastructure, applications, and network components. The role involves monitoring systems for security and availability, implementing best practices for system administration, and collaborating with security and development teams to maintain compliant, resilient architectures. The Cloud Support Engineer will document solutions, contribute to knowledge bases, and assist with continuous improvement of processes and tools. This position requires effective communication with internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring timely, clear updates on support requests and project work.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and technical support skills to diagnose, triage, and resolve complex cloud-related issues.
Candidates should possess system administration skills, including managing cloud instances, operating systems, backups, and access controls.
Candidates should possess networking and network security skills for configuring secure connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring traffic in cloud environments.
Relevant experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is beneficial.
Industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or similar) are a plus.
