Role Description The Director role at Groots Software Technologies Pvt Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. The Director will oversee strategic planning and execution across cloud services, FinOps, DevOps, and web development practices, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, defining service offerings and go-to-market strategies, and driving operational excellence in delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role involves building and managing key client relationships, supporting pre-sales activities, and guiding large-scale cloud transformation and optimization initiatives. The Director will also be accountable for budgeting, resource planning, performance management, and developing a high-performance culture that supports innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Strong leadership and people management skills, including experience guiding cross-functional technology teams and mentoring senior professionals.
Proven experience in cloud services (AWS and/or Azure), including strategy, migration, operations, and managed services in areas such as DevOps, CloudOps, security, or FinOps.
Demonstrated capability in business strategy, service portfolio management, and scaling technology-driven offerings in a B2B or enterprise environment.
Track record of managing client relationships, driving customer success, and supporting pre-sales activities such as solution design and proposals.
Strong analytical, financial, and decision-making skills, including experience with budgeting, cost optimization, and performance metrics.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives, engineers, and business teams.
Background in software development or product engineering, especially in web or mobile applications, is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure), FinOps or Dev
