Role Description This full-time remote role is for a Haitian Creole Medical Interpreter based in the USA. The interpreter will provide accurate, confidential, and culturally sensitive interpretation between Haitian Creole and English for medical consultations, patient inquiries, and healthcare-related customer service calls. Daily tasks include listening carefully to callers, conveying messages clearly and neutrally, and ensuring that medical information, instructions, and consent are communicated correctly. The role also involves translating short medical-related documents or messages when needed, following company protocols, and documenting interactions in accordance with client and regulatory requirements. The interpreter will collaborate with supervisors and client teams, attend training sessions, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and interpretation standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Medical Interpretation and Interpreting skills, with experience in healthcare or clinical settings.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Translation and Simultaneous Interpretation between Haitian Creole and English.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Medical Terminology in both Haitian Creole and English.
Candidates should possess excellent active listening, communication, and note-taking skills, with a focus on accuracy and neutrality.
Candidates should possess fluency in spoken and written Haitian Creole and English, with clear, professional phone presence.
Candidates should possess the ability to work remotely full-time, manage schedules reliably, and maintain confidentiality in line with privacy regulations.
Candidates with previous call center, telehealth, or medical interpreting experience, and relevant certifications (e.g., medical interpreter training) are preferred.
Candidates should possess basic computer literacy, familiarity with virtual communication tools, and a quiet, professional remote working environment.
