About the Role
We are looking for expert Senior Software Engineers to support an innovative project focused on training next-generation AI systems.
In this role, you will use your software engineering expertise to create and evaluate challenging software engineering environments that test AI models on real-world development tasks. Your work will contribute to improving how AI systems learn, reason, debug, and solve complex engineering problems.
Previous AI experience is not required. Strong software engineering expertise is the primary requirement.
Key Responsibilities
Create Reinforcement Learning environments for software engineering tasks.
Develop reproducible environments and golden reference solutions.
Debug and resolve complex software defects.
Implement robust and scalable software features.
Refactor existing and legacy codebases.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Optimize code for efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
Contribute expert-level code samples and technical insights.
Document technical reasoning, solution approaches, and implementation decisions.
Review and validate peer-contributed code and technical submissions.
Work across diverse codebases and software engineering challenges.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with one or more of:
Python 3
Java
Rust
C++
TypeScript
Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Experience with debugging and complex problem-solving.
Experience implementing software features.
Strong codebase refactoring skills.
Experience with performance optimization.
Understanding of software engineering best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Significant professional software engineering experience.
Experience working with large or complex codebases.
Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy systems.
Proven ability to deliver features from conception through implementation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
Interest in AI and emerging software engineering technologies.
AI experience is not mandatory. Your domain expertise in software engineering is what matters most.
Compensation
Experts are compensated on an output-based model, with payment provided for tasks that meet the required project specifications.
The time required to complete each task may vary based on experience and individual workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of tasks per week.
Availability & Start Timeline
We are looking for experts who can start immediately.
Selected candidates are typically onboarded quickly and are expected to begin their first tasks within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
