Role Description The Design Engineer will work full time on-site in the Pune Division and will be responsible for developing and refining product designs from concept through production. Daily tasks include preparing and updating technical drawings and 3D models, performing design calculations, and collaborating with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. The role involves reviewing requirements, translating them into detailed engineering specifications, and supporting prototype development and testing. The Design Engineer will also participate in design reviews, troubleshoot design issues, coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety guidelines. Documentation of designs, change requests, and technical reports will be an integral part of the role.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design, including concept development and detailed design.
Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, with knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, using common 2D/3D CAD tools to create and modify models and drawings.
Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering awareness sufficient to collaborate on products that integrate mechanical and electrical components.
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities for design and production-related challenges.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant experience in product development or manufacturing is an advantage.
Experience with prototyping, testing, and adherence to industry standards and safety regulations is beneficial.
