Role Description The Solution Engineer role at Taxcart is a full-time remote position responsible for bridging technical capabilities with customer needs. On a day-to-day basis, the Solution Engineer collaborates with sales and presales teams to understand client requirements, design solutions, and demonstrate platform capabilities. This role configures and supports integrations between Taxcart and customer systems, including e-commerce platforms, billing tools, and ERPs, ensuring accurate and efficient tax automation. The Solution Engineer also provides technical consulting, assists with proof-of-concept implementations, and offers guidance on best practices for performance, scalability, and compliance. Ongoing responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, documenting solution designs, and contributing feedback to product and engineering teams to improve features and integration workflows.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Software Development, integration design, and API-based system integration.
Candidates should possess skills in Consulting and presales solution design, including requirements gathering and technical discovery.
Candidates should possess skills in Sales support, including technical demonstrations, solution presentations, and proposal input.
Candidates should possess skills in implementation and integration, including testing, debugging, and deployment in production environments.
Experience with SaaS platforms, web technologies (REST APIs, JSON), and common e-commerce or ERP systems.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with tax, fintech, or compliance-related products is beneficial but not required.
