Role Description The OT Security role is a part-time remote position focused on safeguarding operational technology environments across client infrastructures. Responsibilities include assessing OT systems for security risks, monitoring network and device activity, and supporting the implementation of security controls and incident response procedures. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and client stakeholders to design and maintain secure architectures, document security policies, and ensure alignment with relevant standards and best practices. Daily tasks may also include preparing security reports, updating threat models, and providing guidance on secure configurations for industrial control systems and related hardware.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including risk assessment, security policies, and incident response.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, such as firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure network architecture.
Candidates should possess skills in Physical Security related to OT environments, including access control, equipment protection, and facility security awareness.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written documentation, stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Relevant experience with operational technology, industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, or IoT security is beneficial.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443) is an advantage.
Professional certifications in security (such as CISSP, CISM, or GICSP) are preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time schedules, and adapt to evolving security threats and technologies.
