Role Description The BESS Electrical Engineer will work part time in a remote capacity, contributing to the design and analysis of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for various projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing electrical schematics, conducting power system studies, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to integrate BESS solutions into broader energy and IT infrastructures, preparing technical documentation, and supporting project proposals with engineering input. The engineer will also review system performance data, recommend improvements, and assist in troubleshooting electrical issues related to BESS installations.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and practical understanding of Electricity principles.
Experience with Electrical Design for power and energy storage systems.
Knowledge of Power Systems and Power Distribution in industrial or utility-scale settings.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Familiarity with BESS technologies, inverters, and grid integration is highly beneficial.
Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools for modeling and simulation.
Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
