Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, cloud platforms, and modern data engineering technologies.
You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business teams to ensure reliable, high-quality, and accessible data.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
Build data ingestion and transformation workflows from multiple sources.
Develop efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models.
Use Python/PySpark for data processing and automation.
Work with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Develop and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse solutions.
Work with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and error-handling processes.
Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on CI/CD and deployment processes.
Participate in data architecture and technical design discussions.
Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and production issues.
Maintain technical documentation and data-flow documentation.
Required Skills
2–5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
Strong SQL skills.
Strong programming experience with Python.
Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration.
Experience with PySpark / Apache Spark.
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience with at least one cloud platform:
Experience with data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
Understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and database design.
Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Databricks.
Experience with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies.
Knowledge of Delta Lake / Lakehouse architecture.
Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code.
Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance.
