Role Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients. Under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you¿ll perform administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your work directly supports providers and contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of patient care.

What You Will Do
Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
Measure and record vital signs, preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Perform administrative tasks to support the clinical team and enhance patient care.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
