ServiceNow Developer

We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer to lead the design, development, and enhancement of ServiceNow solutions supporting a federal program. This role will serve as a hands-on technical leader responsible for custom development efforts across the ServiceNow platform, with a strong emphasis on Customer Service Management (CSM).
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the custom development, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions and enhancements.
· Serve as a technical lead for ServiceNow development initiatives while remaining hands-on with coding and platform customization.
· Design and develop solutions across ServiceNow modules, including CSM, ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM, and HRSD.
· Build and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, and workflows.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
· Support Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and release activities.
· Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems.
· Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and architecture discussions.
· Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
Core Qualifications:
· Extensive hands-on experience developing and configuring ServiceNow solutions.
· Strong experience with Customer Service Management (CSM), the highest-priority ServiceNow module for this role.
· Proven experience leading custom ServiceNow development efforts and technical initiatives.
· Demonstrated ability to balance technical leadership responsibilities with hands-on development work.
· Experience with ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, and customization.
· Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM, and HRSD.
· Proficiency with JavaScript, Glide scripting, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and related ServiceNow development tools.
· Experience working within Agile development environments.
· Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
· U.S. Citizen eligible for Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
· ServiceNow certifications.
· Experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Now Assist, AI Agents, or similar technologies.
· Experience integrating third-party LLM APIs with enterprise applications.
· Experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
· Expertise in ITAM disciplines, including Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
· Expertise in ITOM modules, including CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
· Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer.
· Experience developing custom-scoped applications within ServiceNow.
· Experience integrating ServiceNow with external enterprise platforms and business systems.
· Knowledge of AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, and portal development.
