We are a small federal geospatial and data firm quoting a U.S. Coast Guard project today: a national polygon dataset of the roughly 525 Captain of the Port zones, ports and waterways that feed the NAVCEN Port Status application. We need one named Cartographer on the team.
What you would do
Delineate and generalize port, waterway, coastal and maritime boundary features from charts, shoreline data and Federal Register descriptions.
Prepare the polygons and attributes for operational and public display in Esri ArcGIS.
Review and sign off on cartographic quality with our GIS Analyst and Project Manager.
What we need
At least three years of professional cartographic or hydrographic experience with port, waterway, coastal or maritime features.
Esri ArcGIS Pro; NOAA chart or ENC experience is a plus.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a Tier 1 background check.
