Project Business Analyst

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Project Business Analyst at Taxcart. The Project Business Analyst will work closely with product, engineering, and client-facing teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements and process flows. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing current and target business processes, documenting detailed functional and non-functional requirements, and supporting the design of solutions that integrate with checkouts, invoicing systems, and ERPs. The role involves participating in stakeholder workshops, preparing user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborating on testing and validation activities to ensure accurate tax automation. The Project Business Analyst will also track project progress, identify risks, and contribute to continuous improvement of tools and methodologies.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and support decision-making.
Business Analysis and Business Requirements skills to gather, document, and refine requirements from diverse stakeholders.
Business Process understanding to map, optimize, and document workflows related to tax automation and system integration.
Effective Communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams and present findings clearly.
Experience working with software products, SaaS platforms, or integrations with ERPs, invoicing, or e-commerce systems.
Familiarity with project methodologies (e.g., Agile or Scrum) and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of indirect taxation (sales tax, VAT, GST) or financial systems is an advantage.
