Role Description This full-time Fashion Designer Intern role is on-site and based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. The intern will support the design team in researching fashion trends, fabrics, and textiles, and assist in creating mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings for new collections. Day-to-day tasks include helping with sample development, fittings, and garment detailing, as well as collaborating with production teams to ensure design concepts are accurately translated into finished products. The role also involves learning and contributing to embroidery and surface design ideas, organizing design materials, maintaining digital and physical design archives, and supporting team presentations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end fashion design process while working under the guidance of senior designers.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, with a strong interest in contemporary trends and aesthetics.
Candidates should possess skills in Textiles and Embroidery, including basic knowledge of fabrics, surface ornamentation, and garment detailing.
Candidates should possess skills related to Fitting, including understanding of garment construction, measurements, and basic pattern adjustments.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
Ability to sketch by hand or using design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools) is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced studio environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, sampling units, and production teams.
Portfolio demonstrating creative work and an understanding of fashion concepts is an advantage.
