Role Description The Senior Business System Analyst role at Taxcart is a full-time remote position responsible for bridging business needs with technical solutions within our tax automation platform. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, translating them into clear system specifications, and collaborating closely with product, engineering, and operations teams. The Senior Business System Analyst will review existing processes and system workflows, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, performance, and user experience. Day-to-day tasks include leading discovery sessions with stakeholders, creating detailed use cases and process maps, supporting configuration and testing activities, and validating that system changes meet defined business objectives. The role also includes mentoring junior analysts, contributing to best practices, and supporting implementation and rollout of new features and integrations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Business Systems Analysis and Systems Analysis skills to connect business processes with technical capabilities.
Candidates should possess solid Business Analysis and Business Requirements skills to elicit, document, and manage stakeholder needs.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate system performance, and support decision-making.
Experience working with SaaS platforms, financial or tax-related systems, or ERP integrations is strongly preferred.
Ability to create clear documentation (process flows, user stories, functional specifications) and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven experience in a senior or lead analyst role, including ownership of complex projects and cross-functional collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Comfort working in a remote, distributed team environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
