Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Laravel Team Lead to lead backend development, design scalable applications, and guide engineering teams. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Laravel, PHP, REST APIs, databases, and backend architecture, along with proven team leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable web applications using Laravel and PHP.
Architect RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
Follow SOLID principles, design patterns, and Laravel best practices.
Design and optimize databases using MySQL/PostgreSQL.
Improve performance through caching, indexing, queues, and optimized queries.
Work with Redis, background jobs, scheduling, and event-driven architecture.
Ensure application security following secure coding and OWASP practices.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
Lead, mentor, and support junior and mid-level developers.
Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards.
Collaborate with Product, QA, Frontend, UX, and DevOps teams.
Develop and maintain third-party API and payment gateway integrations.
Support CI/CD, Docker, Linux, Git, and cloud deployment workflows.
Contribute to technical documentation and architecture planning.
Explore AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Required Skills
7+ years of backend development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Laravel & PHP.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
Understanding of scalable backend architecture, caching, queues, and optimization.
Experience with Redis and background jobs.
Knowledge of Git, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD.
Exposure to cloud platforms and deployment processes.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing or mentoring development teams.
Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
