Under the direction of the manager and/or the Senior CQI Registry Data Analyst the CQI Registry Data Analyst is responsible for assisting with the coordination of a multi-site data collection project to advance the goals of their BCBSM CQI. The CQI Registry Data Analyst will be the primary contact for troubleshooting and technical support for the registry, as well as; act as a databased administrator in allocation of access to sites, data use permissions, data export, and data analysis and reporting. In addition, the CQI Registry Data Analyst will conduct site visits to participating hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and/or physicians offices and make recommendations for improving efficiency in workflow and accuracy of data collection.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Health Services Management or a related field or Associates degree in Information Technology with equivalent five (5) years of work experience.
Three to five (3-5) years of experience in IT-related field.
Strong technical skills with demonstrated ability to learn new tools.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including high-level PowerPoint, Excel and Access skills.
Prefer three to five (3-5) years of experience in healthcare domain.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues into understandable flow diagrams and data scenarios. A systems mindset, able to facilitate connections between data gathering, storage, use and reporting - with a bias toward practical utilization of data.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently, plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously, and support a variety of stakeholders.
Takes initiative and can work independently.
Effective communications and teamwork abilities.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
A positive attitude and strong customer service ability.
