Registered Nurse - Progressive Care - System Float

Contingent - 72 hours per month (minimum)
Shifts Available: Midnights
Location Requirement: Select five hospitals to float between (1 Zone + 1 Additional Site = 5 Hospitals)
Hospital Locations to choose:
Detroit Main; Macomb, Novi, Rochester, Southfield, St. John; Warren; West Bloomfield, Wyandotte
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
Current BLS
Current ACLS
TB, vaccines (i.e., flu).
