Role Overview
As an Ophthalmic Tech- Cert, you will play a vital role in assisting ophthalmologists in the clinic setting. Your expertise in performing specialized tests, measuring refractive errors, and supporting patient care will directly contribute to the delivery of high-quality eye care. This role is essential in ensuring accurate diagnoses and enhancing patient outcomes.

What You Will Do
Assist ophthalmologists in the clinic setting by performing specialized tests such as A-scan ophthalmic ultrasound and fundus photography.
Accurately measure refractive errors and perform tests of ocular motility.
Fit and verify contact lenses for patients.
Take patient histories and communicate effectively during test procedures.
Mentor and coach other employees to enhance their competencies and job performance.
Manage patient information with attention to detail and precision.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
