Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Canada, Australia and Germany responsible for defining and executing Esse India’s overall technology vision and roadmap. This role oversees software development initiatives, including internal platforms and client-facing tools that support immigration and visa consulting services. The CTO leads technology architecture and product development efforts, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing cross-functional technology teams, prioritizing projects, setting development standards, and collaborating with senior leadership to integrate IT strategy with organizational goals. The role also involves monitoring emerging technologies, optimizing processes, and ensuring that technology investments deliver measurable value and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong background in Software Development and Product Development, with experience building and maintaining enterprise or SaaS solutions.
Demonstrated expertise in IT Strategy and Technology Architecture, including designing scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
Proven Project Management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and deliver complex initiatives.
Experience in leading technology teams, mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, information security, data management, and integration of third-party tools.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, working closely with operations, compliance, and client service teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Prior experience in professional services, consulting, or regulated industries (e.g., immigration, legal, financial services) is an advantage.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on strategic thinking and execution.
