About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP HANA Consultant to join our team and support the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of SAP HANA solutions. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, developers, and infrastructure specialists to deliver scalable and high-performance data solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA, database development, performance optimization, and integration with SAP landscapes.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain SAP HANA database solutions and data models.
Develop and optimize HANA Views, including Calculation Views, Analytical Views, and related data models.
Work with SQL and SQLScript to develop complex queries, procedures, functions, and data transformations.
Analyze and optimize SAP HANA database performance, memory consumption, and query execution.
Support data migration, replication, integration, and transformation activities.
Collaborate with SAP ABAP and functional teams to ensure efficient integration between SAP applications and HANA.
Troubleshoot database, performance, and data-related issues and provide effective solutions.
Participate in SAP HANA upgrades, migrations, system implementations, and technical improvements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, data models, and solution specifications.
Ensure solutions follow SAP development standards, security requirements, and best practices.
Support production environments and participate in incident and problem management activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
Must-Have Skills
4+ years of experience working with SAP HANA.
Strong knowledge of SAP HANA database architecture and concepts.
Hands-on experience with SQL and SQLScript.
Strong experience with HANA Calculation Views and data modeling.
Experience with SAP HANA performance tuning and optimization.
Good understanding of database concepts, data structures, and relational databases.
Experience with SAP data integration and data migration processes.
Knowledge of SAP HANA Studio and/or SAP HANA Cockpit.
Experience working with SAP systems and integration with SAP applications.
Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Good command of English.
Nice-to-Have / Advantages
Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
Knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW on HANA.
Experience with SAP Datasphere.
Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Experience with SAP HANA Cloud.
Knowledge of ABAP, CDS Views, and OData.
Experience with SAP HANA migration and upgrade projects.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Experience with ETL/data integration tools.
SAP HANA certification.
Experience working in Agile environments.
German language skills are considered an advantage.
