Senior DevOps Engineer- Romania

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, automation, and continuous improvement of scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure and deployment processes.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containerisation, and monitoring. You will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to optimise software delivery, improve system reliability, and implement modern DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
Develop, manage, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent technologies.
Manage containerised applications and infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows.
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system performance, availability, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production-related issues.
Collaborate with software engineers to improve application deployment, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, network security, and access controls.
Support the integration of DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
Participate in infrastructure and platform architecture discussions, contributing to technical decisions and continuous improvement.
Improve system reliability through automation, proactive monitoring, performance optimisation, and incident management.
Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to the prevention of recurring incidents.
Maintain technical documentation covering infrastructure, deployment processes, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Participate in code reviews, infrastructure reviews, and the implementation of engineering best practices.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies that improve automation, scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, automate repetitive tasks, support troubleshooting, and improve engineering workflows.
RequirementsMust-Have Skills
5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform:
AWS
Microsoft Azure
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Proven experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Solid knowledge of Linux administration and scripting using Bash and/or Python.
Good understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic Stack, Datadog, or equivalent solutions.
Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and infrastructure governance.
Experience troubleshooting complex production and infrastructure-related issues.
Good knowledge of Git and modern software development workflows.
Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation, scalability, reliability, and system availability.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good English communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience working with multiple cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Knowledge of Helm, ArgoCD, FluxCD, or other GitOps tools.
Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
Knowledge of cloud-native and serverless architectures.
Familiarity with service mesh technologies, such as Istio or Linkerd.
Experience with OpenTelemetry and modern observability practices.
Knowledge of Kafka or other event-streaming platforms.
Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and security scanning in CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets.
Experience with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high-availability architectures.
Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
Experience with AI-assisted development and automation tools.
