About the Role
MHTECHIN is looking for a Data Scientist to join our team on a full-time contractual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with structured and unstructured data, developing analytical models, identifying meaningful patterns, and translating data into actionable business and technical insights.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to data-driven projects involving machine learning, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze large and complex datasets.
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and anomalies.
Develop, test, and optimize statistical and machine learning models.
Select appropriate algorithms and techniques based on project requirements.
Build predictive models and evaluate their performance using suitable metrics.
Prepare data for machine learning and analytical applications.
Perform feature engineering and feature selection where required.
Conduct model validation, testing, and performance monitoring.
Create meaningful visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate insights.
Work closely with business, product, engineering, and other technical teams to understand requirements.
Translate business problems into analytical or data-science solutions.
Document methodologies, analysis, models, and results clearly.
Identify opportunities to improve data quality, analytical processes, and model performance.
Stay updated with relevant developments in data science, machine learning, AI, and analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and data analysis.
Good programming skills in Python or a similar programming language.
Familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and visualization libraries such as Matplotlib/Seaborn or equivalent tools.
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
Ability to analyze data and communicate findings clearly.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Good attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
Exposure to deep learning or NLP.
Familiarity with Generative AI or Large Language Models (LLMs).
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of Git/version control.
Experience with real-world machine learning or data science projects.
Familiarity with model deployment or MLOps concepts.
