Role Description The Data Science Engineer is a full-time remote role focused on designing, building, and maintaining data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and advanced data science initiatives. In this role, the professional will develop and optimize data pipelines, implement ETL processes, and ensure data quality and reliability across multiple sources and systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to model and structure data, build and enhance data warehouses, and enable self-service analytics. The Data Science Engineer will also monitor data workflows, troubleshoot performance issues, document solutions, and contribute to best practices for scalable, secure, and compliant data architectures.
Qualifications
Strong data engineering skills, including experience with Data Engineering and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes
Proficiency in designing and implementing Data Modeling solutions and working with Data Warehousing platforms
Experience in Data Analytics, including building datasets for reporting, dashboards, and machine learning use cases
Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, and familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, SQL) and version control tools
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience in consulting or working across multiple client environments is a plus, along with knowledge of data security and compliance best practices
