Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to review financial data, identify trends, and ensure accuracy
Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in financial analysis and business operations
Foundational understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and a genuine interest in learning how AI can improve business processes and drive efficiency
Ability to support data analysis, reporting, and basic automation initiatives
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to apply logical thinking to resolve challenges
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Adaptability and eagerness to learn new systems, tools, and business concepts
Professionalism, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership in assigned responsibilities
Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to continuously develop new skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Collaborative mindset with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Candidates ideally graduation in 2028
Anticipated Start Date: March 2027
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day financial activities, including reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and data management
Assist with month-end close processes and financial reconciliation activities
Analyze data and prepare reports to support business decision-making
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Procurement, FP&A, and other business stakeholders
Identify opportunities for process optimization and support automation initiatives using available AI and technology solutions
Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned by the team
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to managers and stakeholders when appropriate
About the Team
The Finance team at Moody’s supports key business decisions through financial analysis, reporting, planning, and process improvement. As a Finance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with teams across Accounting, Procurement, FP&A, and Finance Automation.
You will assist with financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting activities, procurement operations, and initiatives focused on process optimization and automation. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, develop analytical skills, and contribute to projects that drive efficiency and business impact.
