Role Description The Associate Director at Privacy Pillar will oversee key privacy and data protection initiatives, leading cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize privacy programs for clients. This full-time role involves developing strategic roadmaps, guiding privacy operations, and ensuring alignment with global regulations and internal governance frameworks. The Associate Director will collaborate with product, legal, compliance, and engineering teams to refine privacy solutions, improve processes, and support client implementations. The role includes reviewing privacy impact assessments, monitoring regulatory developments, preparing executive-level reports, and contributing to business development and thought leadership in the privacy domain. This is an on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring close collaboration with internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in data privacy, protection, and governance, including familiarity with major regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, DPDPA, and global privacy standards.
Experience in privacy program management, including consent management, DSAR handling, risk assessments, and policy or process development.
Background in consulting, compliance, legal, or technology roles that involve advising organizations on regulatory compliance and operational best practices.
Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams, driving cross-functional initiatives, and influencing senior stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach to evaluating risk and performance.
Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex privacy concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Relevant academic background in law, information security, management, or a related field; professional privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) are an advantage.
