Head of AI

Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, the Head of AI will own the end-to-end AI roadmap. You will lead a dedicated team of AI/ML engineers and researchers to build cutting-edge intelligence into our core product suite. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a strong technical foundation in modern AI, specifically around conversational AI, audio intelligence, and LLMs.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the AI engineering strategy, aligning core AI capabilities with the company's product vision and business goals.
Core AI and Audio Intelligence: Spearhead research, development, and deployment of complex AI models, with a heavy emphasis on audio processing, Speech-to-Text (STT), NLP, and Generative AI.
Team Building and Mentorship: Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of AI engineers and data scientists.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the VP of Engineering, Product Management, and core engineering teams to seamlessly integrate AI features into production environments.
Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve on new-age AI developments and continuously evaluate new frameworks, models, and architectures to keep our products at the forefront of the industry.
Requirements:
Experience: 9+ years of deep technical experience in software engineering and Artificial Intelligence, with significant experience in a leadership or architectural capacity.
Pedigree: Must come from a globally renowned tech brand or a top-tier, high-growth startup environment. We are looking for individuals who have seen scale and understand how to build enterprise-grade AI products.
Domain Expertise: Proven hands-on expertise in core AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, and specifically audio/voice AI technologies.
Stability and Impact: A demonstrated track record of strong tenure and long-term impact at previous organisations. (Note: We are looking for builders committed to long-term vision; profiles with frequent, short-term job changes will not be considered).
Leadership: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into business value for stakeholders.
