Role Description The VP of Asset Management Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing operational performance across a portfolio of assets and ensuring alignment with investment strategies. This role leads the development and implementation of processes, tools, and standards that improve asset performance, reporting accuracy, and risk management. Daily responsibilities include reviewing asset-level and portfolio-level metrics, coordinating with property management and finance teams, and optimizing cash flow, capital plans, and return on investment. The VP collaborates with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, prepares operational and performance reports, and drives continuous improvement in workflows and controls. The position also involves mentoring team members, managing vendor and stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications
Strong asset management skills with experience overseeing diverse portfolios and driving operational performance.
Finance and investment expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and return analysis.
Property management experience, with the ability to coordinate effectively with on-site and third-party management teams.
Advanced analytical skills for interpreting data, building dashboards or reports, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Proven leadership experience managing teams, setting priorities, and implementing process improvements.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
Comfort with remote work, using digital tools for project management, documentation, and cross-team coordination.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, real estate, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPM, CCIM) are a plus.
Experience in asset-heavy industries such as real estate, infrastructure, or private equity is highly beneficial.
