This is a genuine co-founder opportunity for someone who wants to build a business from day zero, take ownership and play a key role in turning an idea into a functioning digital brand.
About the Venture
We are building a new digital platform focused on a major Sri Lankan city, starting with restaurants and food and eventually expanding into hotels, experiences, events, attractions, culture and everything the city has to offer.
The goal is to create a single, recognisable platform for discovering the city while helping local businesses reach more customers.
The Role
As Co-Founder, Project Manager, you will work closely with the founding team to plan, coordinate and execute the development of the venture from the ground up.
You will be responsible for keeping projects and activities organised, coordinating different areas of the business, managing timelines and ensuring that key tasks move forward.
The role comes with 40% equity and ownership of the brand as a co-founder.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage project plans, timelines and priorities
Coordinate product, marketing, partnerships and operational activities
Break larger business goals into clear tasks and milestones
Track progress and ensure important tasks are completed on time
Coordinate with team members, freelancers and external partners
Help recruit and manage team members as the venture grows
Organise meetings, follow-ups and project communication
Identify operational challenges and help develop practical solutions
Support the launch and ongoing development of the digital platform
Contribute to business strategy, planning and growth
Monitor key business objectives and ensure the team remains aligned
Take ownership of projects from planning through to execution
Represent the venture professionally when working with partners and stakeholders
Who We Are Looking For
Strong organisational and project management skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Able to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines
Comfortable working with different people and teams
Experience in project management, operations, business development or a related field is a plus
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently
Comfortable building something from scratch without a fixed playbook
Proactive, reliable and willing to take responsibility
Interested in technology, digital platforms, food, culture and local businesses
Willing to take genuine ownership of the venture and contribute beyond a traditional job description
The Opportunity
Join as a 40% equity co-founder and play a central role in building the venture from the ground up.
This is an early-stage opportunity, so there is no salary or fixed compensation until the business generates positive cash flow. Initial revenue will be reinvested into the business to support growth.
You will have the opportunity to help shape the product, team, operations and overall direction of the brand from the beginning.
