Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, U.S. business hours
Location: Remote, Latin America preferred
Employment Type: Full-Time / Independent Contractor
Overview
If you know how to turn complex technology challenges into real business opportunities, this is a role built for you.
This opportunity is with a technology brokerage and solutions company that helps organizations navigate an increasingly complex technology marketplace and make better technology decisions. Through a Technology Brokerage-as-a-Service offering and a broader technology portfolio, the company helps clients evaluate options, identify the right providers and solutions, and implement technology strategies aligned with their business objectives.
As a Senior Technology Advisor, you'll play a critical role in growing revenue by creating opportunities, building executive relationships, and turning complex business and technology challenges into revenue.
This is not a traditional account management role. We're looking for a hunter, relationship builder, consultative seller, and closer with a proven track record of selling technology solutions and services.
You'll be comfortable opening doors through outbound calling, email, social selling, networking, referrals, and strategic prospecting, while also leading discovery conversations with CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other senior decision-makers.
Rather than being limited to selling one product, you'll uncover the client's business challenges first and then identify the right technology strategy, provider, or solution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Pipeline Generation
Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound calling, targeted email, LinkedIn/social selling, networking, referrals, and strategic prospecting.
Identify and engage executives and key decision-makers within target organizations.
Establish credibility and build relationships quickly with new prospects.
Create new opportunities rather than relying on inbound leads.
Maintain consistent prospecting activity and disciplined follow-up.
Consultative Technology Sales
Conduct consultative discovery to understand business objectives, technology challenges, operational pain points, risks, and strategic priorities.
Position Technology Brokerage-as-a-Service as a strategic approach for organizations seeking greater expertise, choice, flexibility, and value from their technology investments.
Identify opportunities for point solutions across multiple technology domains.
Translate technical capabilities into clear business outcomes and financial value.
Understand the client's business problem before recommending a technology solution.
Sales Cycle & Closing
Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Develop compelling business cases, presentations, and proposals.
Address objections and negotiate effectively.
Confidently ask for the business.
Convert qualified opportunities into long-term customers.
Build relationships that create opportunities for expansion, cross-selling, and referrals.
Pipeline & CRM Management
Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, CRM activity, and follow-up.
Own your pipeline, sales activity, revenue targets, and results.
Track opportunities throughout the complete sales cycle, from initial outreach through close.
Collaborate with leadership, solution specialists, technology providers, and partners to deliver the right solution for each client.
Must-Have Requirements
6–8+ years of successful B2B technology sales experience.
Experience selling technology services, managed services, consulting, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, communications, SaaS, or other complex technology solutions.
Demonstrated success in new-logo acquisition and net-new revenue generation.
Proven ability to build pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting.
Strong experience using phone, email, LinkedIn, networking, and other channels to create conversations with decision-makers.
Documented history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience selling complex solutions involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
Strong consultative and solution-selling capabilities.
Ability to establish credibility with senior executives and technology leaders.
Experience taking opportunities through the complete sales cycle, from initial outreach and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close.
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Consistent CRM, pipeline management, forecasting, and follow-up discipline.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
We're especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
A proven ability to hunt and repeatedly build pipeline from scratch without depending on inbound leads.
The ability to build relationships quickly and earn trust by understanding a prospect's business and solving problems rather than simply pushing products.
Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to uncover the business problem before recommending technology.
Comfort selling across multiple technology domains, providers, and business requirements.
The ability to sell to executives and move comfortably between technical discussions and conversations about revenue, cost, risk, productivity, and business strategy.
A proven ability to close by creating urgency, navigating objections, building consensus, negotiating, and asking for the business.
A strong sense of accountability for pipeline, activity, revenue, and results.
Why Join Us
Technology buyers face an increasingly complicated marketplace filled with thousands of providers, overlapping solutions, aggressive vendors, and rapidly changing technologies. This company helps clients navigate that complexity.
Through Technology Brokerage-as-a-Service and its broader technology portfolio, you'll help organizations evaluate options, make better technology decisions, identify the right providers, and implement solutions aligned with their business objectives.
For an experienced technology seller, that creates a different kind of opportunity.
Instead of asking, "How can I sell this product?", you'll be able to ask:
"What is the business trying to accomplish, what is preventing them from getting there, and what is the right technology solution?"
That is the foundation of this role.
You'll thrive here if you're energized by winning new customers, prefer creating opportunities rather than waiting for leads, have a competitive mindset without sacrificing integrity, and are confident picking up the phone and starting conversations.
You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with executives and business owners, solve broader technology challenges, work independently, and take ownership of your results. Activity matters, but revenue is the ultimate measure of sales performance.
If you have a history of turning cold prospects into conversations, conversations into opportunities, and opportunities into customers, this is an opportunity to put that experience to work across a broad range of technology solutions and directly impact revenue growth.
