Performance Improvement Coordinator - Michigan Emergency Department Improvement Collaborative (MEDIC)

Drives and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow to enhance organizational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to identify challenges, resolve critical issues, address cost containment opportunities, and successfully implement innovative services, systems, and performance measures that drive meaningful results.
Research, develop, and implement cutting-edge improvement systems, methodologies, and tools that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Engage with Leaders to develop and refine screening indicators that support organizational goals and quality standards.
Deliver comprehensive on-site training and ongoing support to performance improvement teams, ensuring successful adoption and sustainability of initiatives.
Lead regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance activities while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Champion policy, procedure, and contract review processes while coordinating quality improvement initiatives that create lasting organizational impact.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Management preferred
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable
RN preferred with 3-5 years of acute care experience preferred. - Previous quality improvement experience preferred along with strong analytical skills and clinical skills to determine gaps in care and opportunities for improvement.
3-5 years of hospital experience, Clinical Emergency Department Experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft office, have knowledge of medical terminology.
Emergency Department experience strongly preferred.
