As a Security Officer, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of Henry Ford Health¿s facilities, patients, visitors, and employees. Your vigilance helps prevent disturbances, protect property, and maintain a safe environment. This role is essential in upholding the trust and well-being of our community.

What You Will Do
Monitor Henry Ford Health facilities and properties to protect persons and property against injury or loss.
Direct visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate locations.
Intervene to prevent and control disturbances.
Keep appropriate persons informed of activities, events, and incidents.
Summon necessary assistance as required.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Maintain a valid unexpired Michigan operator¿s license
Satisfactorily complete state minimum training certification requirements and required testing
Preferred Qualifications
Hospital / Healthcare related security experience
Prior law enforcement experience in a sworn capacity (Local, State, County, Federal) or four plus (4+) years of military experience with Honorable Discharge

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), required.
• Preference given to:
Hospital / Healthcare related security experience
-OR-
Prior law enforcement experience in a sworn capacity, (Local, State, County, Federal)
-OR-
Four plus (4+) years of military experience with Honorable Discharge.
• May be required to use an intermediate weapon.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
• Maintain a valid unexpired Michigan operator’s license.
• Satisfactorily complete state minimum training certification requirements and required testing. Annual training and testing requirements must be maintained.
