Target rate: $50–80/hour · Remote, United States · 1099 contract bench
We need security engineers who get federal systems authorized and keep them secure.
What you'll do
Implement and document NIST SP 800-53 controls
Build System Security Plans and ATO packages under the Risk Management Framework
Run vulnerability scans, STIG checks and remediation tracking
Support incident response and continuous monitoring
Required
3+ years in cybersecurity engineering or assessment
Hands-on RMF / ATO work
Security+, CISSP, CISM or an equivalent certification
Preferred
FedRAMP, CMMC or CJIS experience
Cloud security (AWS, Azure)
Security clearance (not required)
How our bench works. This is a bench role: there are no guaranteed hours. When a federal bid fits your background, we name you on it at your agreed rate, and you sign a short commitment before we submit. If we win, you do the work at that rate and those hours. Remote, 1099 hourly; full-time seats may be W-2. U.S. citizens and permanent residents only.
