Role Description This is a full-time, contractor, remote role for a Lead AI Solutions Architect with a monthly salary of USD 6,000. The person in this role will design, implement, and maintain AI/ML solutions, including data pipelines, model training workflows, and production-grade inference services. Day-to-day work includes hands-on development in AI/ML engineering, partnering with product and engineering stakeholders to define solution architectures, and reviewing code and designs for quality and scalability. The Lead AI Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership to AI and software engineering teams, mentor other engineers, and establish best practices for model lifecycle management, performance, and reliability. The role also involves staying current with AI/ML trends, evaluating new tools and frameworks, and contributing to strategic decisions about AI capabilities across
products.
Qualifications
Strong hands-on AI/ML engineering skills, including experience building, training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models into production environments.
Proficiency with common ML frameworks and tools (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar) and experience with data processing pipelines using Python or other modern languages.
Technical leadership experience, including guiding architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, conducting code and design reviews, and setting engineering standards.
Solid software engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, CI/CD, microservices or distributed systems, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Experience designing end-to-end AI solutions that integrate with existing applications, APIs, and data sources, with attention to scalability, security, and reliability.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional experience working in or with international teams, and fluency in English sufficient for technical discussions and documentation.
This is NOT a purely managerial, consulting, or high-level architecture role. You must be able to design AND build AI/ML solutions yourself.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
1. Deep Hands-On AI/ML Engineering
* Strong production-level coding skills, particularly Python.
* Deep practical experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning, including building, training, evaluating, optimizing, and deploying models.
* Strong experience with modern Generative AI / LLM architectures, RAG, embeddings/vector databases, model APIs, and AI agents.
* Experience with ML/DL frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or equivalent.
* Ability to personally prototype, debug, review code, and make architecture-level technical decisions.
2. Proven Technical Leadership
* Demonstrated experience leading AI/ML engineers, data scientists, or technical teams.
* Experience owning architecture and technical delivery of complex AI/ML projects from design through production.
* Ability to mentor engineers, conduct technical/code reviews, establish engineering standards, and make difficult technical trade-offs.
* Strong stakeholder and customer-facing communication skills.

Ideal Background
You are likely a strong fit if you have 8+ years of software/ML engineering experience, including 4+ years focused on AI/ML and 2+ years leading technical teams or major AI initiatives.
You should be equally comfortable reviewing architecture with executives, leading engineers, and opening your IDE to write or debug Python/ML code yourself.

Candidates whose experience is primarily people management, pre-sales, high-level solution architecture, or AI strategy without substantial hands-on AI/ML engineering experience will not be a fit.
