About The Role
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our dynamic team supporting remote work in the US or our Palo Alto, CA hybrid office. As a key member of our front-end engineering team, you will be instrumental in designing and developing new products and features that enhance our clients’ financial growth experiences. You will work within a cross-functional scrum team, collaborating closely with backend, mobile engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver impactful solutions.
Your role involves building client-facing features utilizing our in-house Design System components, improving infrastructure, and enhancing developer productivity. You will participate in troubleshooting operational issues to ensure our web systems operate smoothly, contribute to infrastructure projects aimed at boosting system health and performance, and support recruiting and mentorship activities to foster a collaborative and innovative environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on our platform, leveraging modern development practices and cross-platform collaboration methods.
Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in a web-focused engineering role
Deep understanding of JavaScript, including ES5+ standards, native DOM APIs, and at least one modern front-end framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar server-side frameworks such as Express or Django (preferred but not mandatory)
Proficiency in building custom pages and components with a focus on page speed and responsiveness across various devices
Strong knowledge of CSS, including writing custom styles for responsiveness and performance
Experience working with design teams to translate visual concepts into functional web pages
Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing frameworks
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Passion for projects that deliver measurable business impact in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Responsibilities
Collaborate with backend, mobile, design, and product teams to develop new features and enhance existing functionalities
Build and maintain client-facing web components leveraging our Design System
Triages and resolves operational issues to ensure the stability and performance of web systems
Participate in infrastructure projects aimed at improving system health, scalability, and performance
Contribute to code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes to maintain high-quality standards
Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team
Engage in recruiting activities, including interviewing prospective team members
Stay updated with emerging web technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our platform
